SEASON TWO, WEEK 2 WEIGH IN RESULTS

We will start off with the BIGGEST LOSER GUY AND GAL for the first two weeks of Season Two:

Louis – Team 2 – lost 3.8 lbs! Congratulations!

Marilyn – Team 1 – lost 6.1 lbs!

 

Team 1 total loss  for this week is 3.8 lbs and Team 2 total loss is 8.4 lbs.  Team 1 has lost a total of 14.9 lbs so far and Team 2 has lost a total of 18 lbs so far.

This means that Team 1 has to pay for Team 2’s weigh in fee next week. Since the teams have the same number on them, each team member on Team 1 has to pay $2 to weigh in on Sept 5 ($1 for their weigh in and $1 for a person on the winning team weigh in). All other fees are added to those fees. If members of the winning team or the losing team gain weight, do not weigh in or stay the same they will have to pay their own applicable fees. If that doesn’t make sense, just give me a call.

CAN TEAM 2 KEEP UP THEIR LEAD OVER LABOR DAY WEEKEND? What about it Team 1? Are you going to let them win again?

WEEK 2 WEIGH IN IS WEDNESDAY, August 29

Weigh in is Wednesday, August 29, this week.

Donna, Kim R, Leti and Sandi will weigh in with Cindy, as early as possible in the morning and before 11 am.

Erik, John D, Mike S and Wes will weigh in with Kim AO, at 8:00 am.

Cindy, Denise, DR, Ken, Kim AO, Laura, Louis, Peggy and Steve will weigh in with Marilyn between 7:00 am and 8:30 am and Marilyn will weigh in with Cindy.

REMINDER: Team 2 has to pay Team 1’s weigh in fee of $1 which means Team 2 has to pay $2 for weigh in this week. Team 1 does not pay for Weigh In this week but if they gain or stay the same they have to pay the fees. Team 2 also has to pay fees for gaining and staying the same.

Okay Team 1! We gotta work hard this week, Team 2 is right on our coattails and barely lost the first round! I would bet they are really motivated to win next week!

Healthy Snacks

Fruits and vegetables are good choices for healthy snacks. They are full of vitamins and low in calories and fat. Some crackers and cheeses also make good snacks. As in all good things in life, even good healthy snacks should be eaten in moderation.

Some examples of healthy snacks are:

  • Apples (dried or cut into wedges)
  • Bananas
  • Raisins (red grapes provide antioxidant Resveratrol)
  • Fruit leather (dried fruit puree)
  • Carrots (regular carrots cut into strips, or baby carrots )
  • Snap peas (the pods are edible)
  • Nuts (but not too many)
  • Dry cereal (if sugar is not listed as one of the first 2 ingredients)
  • Pretzels
  • String cheese
  • 1/3 cup of grape nuts with 4 ounces of nonfat plain vanilla yogurt
  • 8 ounce low-fat or nonfat yogurt
  • Toasted English muffin with jelly
  • Dozen baked potato chips
  • Air popped popcorn
  • 1/2 cup cherry or grape tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup hummus, 3 carrot sticks
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin seeds in shell

With such a variety of examples of healthy snacks, our options to eat healthy are plentiful. So enjoy!





Season Two Week 1 Weigh In Results

Since this is NOT a week that the biggest loser is paid…I am only going to share that Team 1 total loss is 11.1 and Team 2 total loss is 9.6. This is ONLY a  1.5 lb difference!

This means that Team 2 has to pay for Team 1’s weigh in fee next week. Since the teams have the same number on them, each team member on Team 2 has to pay $2 to weigh in on Aug 29 ($1 for their weigh in and $1 for a person on the winning team weigh in). All other fees are added to those fees. If members of the winning team or the losing team gain weight, do not weigh in or stay the same they will have to pay their own applicable fees. If that doesn’t make sense, just give me a call.

It has been suggested that on weeks there is no pay out, to not release individual weight loss for that week. This will help keep everyone motivated through to the pay out week, instead of allowing you to feel you won’t be able to pass the person who is in the lead.

Next week, the guy and gal who lost the most by adding this week and next week together will be announced and will split the pot.
